Talk to Us is a annual awareness-raising campaign observed all through July. Talk To Us aims to highlight the charity's work and the help it can offer. The nonprofit group, the Samaritans, started the campaign 'Talk To Us' in 2016. These coordinated local events increase awareness that the Samaritans are available at any time of day or night to listen to anyone who is struggling to cope. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and the availability of emotional support and encourages people to reach out for help whenever they need it.
If someone takes the time to approach you regarding a personal matter, whether it's a mental health issue or a comment on the current culture of your organisation, then it's vital that you provide them with some kind of update about it at some point.
This could simply be letting them know that the issue has been raised to others, or providing them with the right mental health and wellbeing resources while you're looking into this problem.
Nearly half of British adults avoid engaging with someone they don't know to avoid small talk - whilst more than one in five (22%) are worried they would say the wrong thing when engaging with someone.
